SportsCode Gamebreaker V8 Upgrade
In additional to a graphical overhaul, version 8 packs some very beneficial features on top of an already powerful video analysis and editing program. Read below for highlighted features, and call DTS, your authorized Sportstec distributor, with any questions.
These new features greatly add to each aspect of your team strategy such as immediate video feedback during practice, new coding and capture possibilities, analyzing video over a number of games, and easier, more valuable player instruction post-game. Read the new version 8 manual included with the software for details on how to use these new functions in the most efficient way for your individual workflow. Below are also some brief explanations of how some of the new features may benefit you.
Instance Notes
Add notes to individual clips that can be seen when the clip plays. Send the videos any way you like such as DVD, email, iPod and know your message is added with
it.
To use, highlight an instance, click on the Note icon in your tool bar and start typing. You can add unique notes to each clip in your movie. Make sure the Instance notes box is checked to include your notes with your movie presentation. These notes can also be searched using the new Find Feature, adding more value to this new feature.
DVR Style Capture
A type of instant replay that allows you to view captured video instantly without breaking ongoing feed. This DVR feature during capture is viewed as two separate windows: A live window (what is currently being taped) and the DVR window (what has been captured, with timeline attached). With the ability to code while capturing, now you have the option to quickly and easily view that coded clip immediately without breaking the feed.
Find Feature
Save your searches, search over folders or an entire video library, even your instance notes are searchable. Then make a movie immediately from your results!
iCal capture
Another redone feature, this replaces the countdown timer. Now it's even easier to capture video off of your computer post-game. Simply add a name, date, and length of capture.
Export to iTunes
With many teams having personnel owning an iPod and/or iTouch, v8 makes it easy to put your videos in a format for viewing with a single click.
To convert a movie to the proper format, go to: File > Export > Movies > iPod movie to iTunes
Improved databasing
Database functionality has been improved with the inclusion of reference and compression options. Reference databasing allows for quick, “no time, no space” databases that rely on the original movie and can be converted to a standalone database. The compression option allows for smaller files and quicker transfer rates with minimal quality difference. Allow DTS to help you make the most out of these 2 additions.
